A regular PY-ZINE photo story feature by the photographic collective ‘Gonzales Photo’.
Trailerpark Festival is a music and arts festival based in central Copenhagen. The festival is organized by the Copenhagen art collective ArtRebels who have worked as a community since 2007 for a plethora of creative Scandinavian people and artists.
Trailerpark Festival is considered ArtRebels’ highlight of the year and has grown into one of Denmark’s most influential art and music festivals. From a few hundred visitors back in 2007, thousands of festival guests now attend the annual event. Like the festival itself, the music line up is colourful with an established pallet and rich in underground connections from both the Danish and international music scene.
Each year, young and talented artists are invited to let their creativity flow in the days building up to the event. Old trailers are transformed into inspiring hang out joints for the festival guests who can chill, enjoy a beer and engulf in the artistic surroundings. Furthermore, Trailerpark Festival would not be what it is without its many volunteers who create the entire festival area each year. Year after year the helpers do an impressive job that makes it possible for lots of Copenhageners to enjoy another unforgettable weekend in the capital of Denmark.
The official festival program kicked off on Thursday 31st but before that Gonzales Photo photographer Helena Lundquist captures the contagious vibe during the build. Check out the shots.
